Good food .. Great Service

We took advantage of the family-style dinner take-out and it was excellent! Tenderloin meatballs and rigatoni marinara, with salad and bread! It was perfect for a family of 4 and could not have been any easier with curbside pickup. Thank you! We will definitely do this again!

Me and my boyfriend had an amazing time last night. They had a prefixed menu option that we took advance of. Jeff was a server and he was excellent and attentive. Thank you for a great time. We will be back!

Excellent steak and service

The food here is fine, it’s also good value for money.

Had a wonderful dinner here with my wife; the 12oz filet mignon was perfect. We took advantage of the $99 date night menu per couple, adding delicious lobster bisque, a bottle of wine and desert (paid a little extra to increase the serving size from 8 to 12 oz). The ambience was outstanding and even during COVID, felt completely safe in the environment. The restaurant is definitely a Rutgers stronghold and there’s a good balance between RU memorabilia and classic steakhouse look. The service was top notch. Shout out to our server, Christian, who did a great job with a sense of humor. Yes, Steakhouse 85 is pricey but it’s worth it. We would definitely eat here again.

Great food, atmosphere and service. We don't live close enough to make it a regular stop, but are more than willing to make the 45 minute drive, which says a lot. Expect high quality steak, seafood, sides and service, it will not disappoint!

We just had an amazing 40 Oz Porterhouse... cooked to perfection... Amanda our server was very knowledgeable and helpful with proper serving skills.. well trained!! Compliments to the chef also!!! Quiet relaxing ambiance and an incredible peach melba!!!! We will return with friends... here’s to 2021

I visit this lovely place often! This is my favorite restaurant to pass a nice evening. I go to this spot many times. The food is excellent, the crew is polite and the payment is decent. I enjoy going in this spot for a rich dinner.

Great service. Food was pretty good but a bit over priced. Ordered the porterhouse steak, came out a little under cooked but was still very good

I enjoyed my dinner here. The Porterhouse was cooked medium well to my liking, the lobster Mac n cheese was a bit bland but still quite delectable. The caramel apple tart was the best part of my night. I will definitely go back for dinner again.

Certainly top of the food chain when it comes to steakhouses. They do everything well. Parking garage directly across the street.

When it comes to food, I can very rarely pick one favorite, but Steakhouse 85 is definitely my favorite restaurant. Been coming here for years and always have a great time with exceptional food and drinks. Anytime there is a special occasion, whether it's Valentine's Day or simply date night, this is where you'll find us!

Some have posted that there was an uncorking fee added to their bill - we didn't experience that so I cannot comment. We were only charged for what we ordered and in my opinion, everything was properly priced.

I’ve never had a bad meal at this restaurant. Standard steakhouse fare done right. Also hosted my son’s Bar Mitzvah here and it exceeded my expectations. A well run establishment.
